Month four of 2021 is almost done. Have you started being the new you yet? What are some of the challenges you have faced so far and how are you dealing? Can you write a review of 2021 so far?

All random and of course awful questions aside, what is the one thing you are doing to keep your sanity as well as your body as healthy as you can. Kindly share your tips with me.

My last few posts were really intense, so, I decided to do something fun. Granted this article will not be filled with witty jokes and punch lines, but you may just get an idea of what to start, the strength to continue what you started, or the courage to drop some habits!

A – Assertiveness – stand up for what you believe in. Your voice is so powerful, you just don’t know. Do it in a calm and rational manner. Violence, aggressiveness, emotional abuse, arrogance, is not being assertive.

B – Bold and beautiful – confidence is your best outfit, try it sometime. What you think people are thinking of you, is actually the opposite. People have so much happening in their lives and around them, they will not pay attention, maybe until you attract it.

C – Carrots, Cabbages, Cauliflowers – have these once a week either raw, cooked, steamed, or juiced and see the difference. Your body will thank you.

D – Distractions – get rid of the things keeping you from your destiny and embrace distractions that feed your vision. So please get off of social media for a bit and see the outside, interact with people, make a new friend, or just sit quietly and think for a bit.

E – Every day I’m shuffling – yes, this is from that song we all know. Be wild. Create chaos at work and at home. When I say chaos, I mean the good kind. Break those boundaries, unlearn your limitations, and remember your comfort zone is not a good place.

F – Fudge – be as multifaceted as this word. Or if you read this another way, go for it haha

G – Gallons of water – water does wonders to your brain. Helps you digest food, improves the appearance of your skin, cleanses your system, and renews your cells.

H – Heartiness – protect your heart like it’s your job. Don’t let people in and out of there. Remember from the heart, the mouth speaks.

I – Indulgence – eat all those foods you have been keeping yourself from (in moderation of course). You only live once! Cancel plans and watch Netflix, you shouldn’t go everywhere, make people miss you for a bit.

J – Just keep moving – stuck? Keep moving. Going through stuff? Keep moving. Do you hate your job? Keep moving. People look down on you because of your weight? Eat them, then keep moving. Whatever you do, don’t stop.

K – Kindliness – kill them with kindness. I don’t know who them is, but you do. Eat cake, share positivity, smile, and empathize.

L – Live, laugh, love – live like tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, because it’s not. Laugh at stupid things or at jokes you make up in your head, (I am a pro at this). Love everyone, like a few.

M – Memories back then – a memory lane is a beautiful place! Try walking down it and see how far you have come and where you are going. Also, you will see how some of your choices were just ridiculous and maybe you may get inspiration to restart.

N – Nope – all you have to say is, NO. My name is NO. My time is NO. My number is NO. My peace is important, so NO. Spend time with you and your judgmental friends? NO. Gossip? NO. Just say NO.

O – Organization – your mind is as organized as your surroundings. The more chaotic things are around you, the more chaotic you will be. Organize your room and closet please (this is a note to me haha!)

P – Plants – Mother Nature is beautiful! Go explore outside. Breathe in some fresh air, interact with insects, and get a tan in the sun.

Q – Quintessential must-haves – peace, love, joy, compassion, confidence, a paper, pen, book, food, fruit, vegetable, time for family, savings, positivity, nonchalant-ness, and hygiene.

R – Rest – take as many breaks as you can. Sleep for 8 hours. Take your vacation/sick days. Do absolutely nothing. Take naps if you can.

S – Sunshine lollipops – this is my definition of self-care. Exfoliate, sleep, indulge in the things you like, be in the moment, and take a minute to appreciate all you have.

T – To the window, to the wall! – DIY is a fun way to explore your creativity. Start something simple, and go onto hard things. Instead of buying, make them in the house.

U – Unravel – be vulnerable. Cry. Get a release. Be frustrated, sad, angry, confused, exist in the unknown, then get up and keep moving.

V – Va va voom – if you can afford it, travel to all the places you have wanted to go to. If you can’t, Google Earth is your friend.

W – Watermelon sugar high – yes, exactly!

X – XOXO – do all the things you love alone or with others. Explore those sides you didn’t know existed. Appreciate your best friend, tell people you love them and what they mean to you, if you are in love with someone, go for it, maybe they feel the same way. If not, at least now you know.

Y – Yogurt – drink it, make drinks with it, use it for pedicures, use it for facials, marinate food with it, make your own. (side note, how versatile is yogurt though)

Z – zzzzz – find a healthy sleep routine that works for you, and follow through with it. Remember, God gives sleep to those He loves. If you are having trouble sleeping, maybe sit down and talk to Him?
