I May Not Have Everything Figured Out, But I Know I'm Moving

If you asked me a year ago where I’d be at 32, I probably would have given you a confident answer based on the version of my future I had imagined.

But as we know, life always has other plans 😂

This year, I graduated with my Master’s degree, found work that gives me a sense of purpose through Chiwo Connect, and started seeing my future a little more clearly.

Those things are worth celebrating.

I’ve also experienced seasons of abundance and seasons of lack. I’ve had moments when I felt like things were finally coming together and others when I had to remind myself that a difficult season wasn’t the end of the story.

I’ve learned that progress doesn’t always look like moving from one achievement to another. Sometimes it looks like learning to navigate uncertainty without losing sight of what matters to you.

Graduating was a reminder that I can commit to something and see it through, and finding purposeful work has helped me recognize the kind of contribution I want to make.

The challenges in between have reminded me that a good life isn’t necessarily one where everything goes according to plan. It’s one where you keep learning how to navigate the unexpected.

I’m also becoming more comfortable admitting that I don’t know everything, which is humbling, considering how confidently I can form an opinion 😂

Fortunately, there’s freedom in recognizing that you can be proud of how far you’ve come and remaining open to learning more.

At 32, I have a better sense of what matters to me, the kind of work I want to do, the relationships I want to nurture, and the experiences I’d like to have.

I don’t have every detail mapped out. I’m still learning, adjusting, and figuring things out as I go, but I can see movement, I can see growth, and I can appreciate the distance between the person I was and the person I’m becoming.

As I prepare to turn 33, I’m choosing to celebrate that. A lot of the time, knowing you’re moving in the right direction is a good enough place to start.
